Comments are posted immediately and will not be edited. But please use good taste and courtesy. Absolutely no name-calling of politicians, government officials or others posting comments - it's unimaginative and besides, you can do better just making your point clearly and quickly.

When presenting factual information, take care that it is accurate and cite and/or link to sources where appropriate. Although we are not responsible for the content of the comments, we reserve the right to remove comments that are threatening, libelous, obscene or otherwise objectionable.

1. Comments should be signed with your real name or a nickname. If you choose a nickname, keep using it. Unsigned comments will be subject to quicker deletion than signed ones.
2. Comments signed as someone other than the writer will be deleted.

3. If you want your comment considered for publication in the newspaper as part of the weekly Best of KC Buzz Blog, give your real name. We have to verify your comment.
4. Again, no profanity or vulgarity, racially or sexually offensive speech.
