For Claire, a tangled web of finances
In today's Star, Matt Stearns reports that the Senate Ethics Committee has asked Claire McCaskill to clarify her personal financial disclosure report -- twice. Why? Her husband's finances are pretty complex.

This should be interesting. My guess is she will continue to stonewall.

Isn't this disclosure a must if you are running for office?
Ms. McCaskill had to know that this would become an issue when she married her husband. One does not choose to hold political offices that require disclose of your financials when it is necessary that your or your spouses financial picture remain secret.
This is a disservice to her party, and could cause great harm, and should not be tolerated if it is required for her husbands financial picture to be disclosed.

I don't know how the McCaskill campaign expects to convince average Missourians she's "on our side" when she has all her money in offshore tax shelters so she doesn't have to pay any of the taxes the rest of us do.

Ms McCaskell has been cleared today. The Senate Ethics Commitee is satisfied with the financials that has been provided, now we all can move on to something else.

Dan, It is my experience that members of the GOP (God's Own Party) are completely unembarassable?
