I will never vote for (Blunt). His Medicare reform has cost the live of Missouri residents. My mother who has stage 3 lung cancer cannot get out of bed, yet she wasn't sick enough to qualify. The state said they simply didn't have any money. My brother in law is deaf and has had three strokes after having hip surgery. He's not sick enough either.

I hope the moderators will remove the post calling Blunt a NAZI. Way out of bounds regardless of the emotional pain the poster has experienced.

2 years of commercials will not undo the damage he has done to this state. I for one cannot wait to vote this horrible, horrible gov. out of office.

What ever happened to my first amendment right? Are you offeneded? WOW! I do apologize for the "NA**" comment. That was a little rough.
Why do Rebublicans have to change everything? Why Why Why? Why is it when Republicans take over only horrible things happen? Can you deny this? Look at the state our our country. Our people are in debt more than ever. Our country is in more trouble than ever. Are we a democracy or a capitalist governement now? As for Blunt, why did he contract the License offices to his buddies? Those people lost everything! They had to start over again.
Oh yeah, I see them go into churches and debate stem cell ethics while they support those who cut the system designed to help people who can't help themselves.. Who's life are they protecting again? Then they come in and say they are going to make government smaller and make things more efficient, yet look at what happened! People are just as poor as ever, and now they are dieing because of it. I want everyone who has suffered from Blunts policies to post on this site. I want them to speak their minds. Then you can judge for yourself, and say whayever you want too.

Hey Justice,
Quit whining and get a job! Look at the facts-there are more jobs available now than at any other time in Missouri's history. No thanks to Holden or Carnahan. Blunt will win again because he does what he says he'll do and he's delivered for the people of this state. Government can't be all things to all people and you'd help yourself a lot if you realized that. Just a friendly piece of advice.

Justice--first of all it was medicaid reform and your mothoer's medicare should not have been touched and it is being returned to people with disabilites as we speak. However, there was sooo much fraud something had to be done, Blunt ran on that promise and did it.
Wake up Blunt haters, there was a huge deficit when Blunt took office thanks to the democratic control, and in 2 SHORT YEARS we are at a surplus WITHOUT raising taxes.
Some areas had to be revamped, it was not pleasant, but it got done. I am so tired of hearing about what a horrible job Blunt is doing when small business administrations and chambers are moving Missouri up the later, economic development and jobs are up, unemployment is down, and the people who really need medicaid are getting it back and the elderly keep their medicare because it is federal.
So..two years, I say you better pay attention, because Blunt will go down as one of the strongest governors. He made the tough decisions for our state and moved on. I am disabled and on medicare...I say i deal with what I have to...Go on Governor..keep on moving Missouri forward.

How can their be a deficit, when the Missouri Constitution requires a balanced budget.
Blunt is not telling the truth when he says he balanced the budget. So did Holden, Carnahan, Ashcroft, Bond, Teasdale, Bond, Hearnes, etc.
Every year the departments put forward their budget requests to the governor. It usually averages around $1 billion, but the state only has say $300 million in new revenue. So the governor has to decide what to fund and what not to fund in the budget requests.
That is not anything new. Blunt didnt solve any budget problems, he just moved Medicaid funding to fund his pet projects.

But we aren't just balanced, we are at surplus with no new taxes, and the medicaid revamping is going along fine. If you wanted all the fraud to continue, then it would stay as it was. The dems try to play off the loss of medicaid and are registering voters at free clinics, but they don't have the grass roots ability to get them to care enough to vote.
Blunt will be opposed by Jay Nixon, who will answer for the Taum Sauk scandal for awhile.
I stand by Blunt...he got the voters out, he has run on his word and done what he said, and he hs increased jobs and economic development. Dang all that and no new taxes. He even increased the money to help with electric and gas bills so receipients got help twice instead of once...and no new taxes for that one either.

The Smith family runs the Fee License Office in Lees Summit
The whole family is a bunch of crooks
Posted by: Geehowdy | August 10, 2006 at 08:28 AM
that of course is your opinion, but hmmm how long did the dems run the fee offices? Are you saying everything was perfect then? Sigh that theory doesn't fly, when the dems were appointing, it was ok to appoint, now that they aren't in control, then everything is wrong with the system.
I dodn't know the Smith's or your fee office, ours is great, no problems there, but if you have a complaint you need to lodge it with proof to the DOR and Attorney General (and he's a dem)

The Democrats did it That make's it OK
Another strawman retort
Posted by: Geehowdy | August 10, 2006 at 09:48 AM
Plus Justice..on the fee offices when you state that those people lost everything. When the fee offices were under gop control years and years ago in our office, the democratic appointee walked in and told the gop lady "pack up and get out". So before you criticize, remember it has been done again and again, not just by Blunt. I am so tired of everyone blaming everything on Matt Blunt like he created fee office appointments. ANd who do you expect him to give it to, his enemies? Maybe he will appoint Claire to one after she loses to Talent.

I just can't understand why people want to give up thier freedom. Why do they think we had the revolutionary war? I don't think they even know we had one or the facts that lead to it. It just doesn't make sense to me. I want to remain a free man with my bill of rights. These rights were granted by God according to the constitution. How can a mortal man declare he can take these away? Over my dead body! I would like for one Republican to explain the logic behind this. And if they feel like this why didn't they move to China where they have no rights.

You liberals need to shut up, no one responds to you because you are as irritating as a damn dog humping your leg. Matt Blunt screwed up the medicare system for a short period of time, and there's no doubt that that was a mistake that cannot be forgiven or taken back. But when you start making comments how "republicans ruin everything" it literally shows how arrogant and ignorant liberals are. To claim that one side is perfect over the other shows your level of intelligence (low) and your level of ignorance (high). Have a good day idiots.
And remember, you're only complaining to yourselves because no one else cares.
Oh yeah and remember that one time that Clinton had the chance to capture/kill Osama? Remember how he rejected it? Personally, I find that as one of the largest mistakes within the past few decades. But it seems as though the liberal media tends to ignore that large screw-up.

Matt Blunt is a crook and a spoiled BRATT! He doesn't know or even try to understand what it it like to be poor and need help. I, myself worked my whole life and am disabled enough not to be able to go back to work. Blunt took away most of my medical, all of my dental and all of my vision. I can't drive without my glasses and haven't been able to drive since Blunt has shown his bratty little ways around the state. And the wife that stands by his side in the commercial that endorses his children's health plans for working people, who is she, Mrs. Governer who runs Missouri and tells him where and what he can do? Get them out of the governer's office and get somebody who doesn't want to steal from the poor and make the rich richer. Blunt and his "wife" are just enjoying living off our hard earned Social Security and hard earned taxes. GET OUT BLUNTS! You've been there 2 years too long!!!!
