Brownback Ramps Up

'Tis the season for presidential candidates to get busy. Kansas Republican Sen. Sam Brownback is adding to his Iowa operation.

In Iowa, Brownback hired his first full-time staffer, Trainor Walsh, as field representative. Walsh, who worked for Iowa Republican Rep. Jim Leach's 2002 re-election campaign, most recently was the Regional Political Director for the Legislative Majority Fund, overseeing 13 State House campaigns in eastern Iowa. He is a University of Iowa grad and lives in Des Moines. He also has workd on campaigns in Massachusetts, Florida and Virginia.

And a veteran of Steve Forbes 1996 and 2000 Iowa campaigns has signed on to Brownback's advisory committee. Kevin McLaughlin, an investment professional, ran Polk County (that's Des Moines) for Forbes in 1996 and was Vice-Chair of Forbes' statewide campaign in 2000.

By the way: Brownback was in South Carolina, site of the first southern primary, today, with campaign stops in Greenville and Anderson.

And by the team of Stearns, Kraske and Helling: "Remember, it's always Stearns, Kraske and Helling on the outside, tasty on the inside." Additional consideration to the Kansas City Star, because "Every Star Has a Story."

Go, Sam, Go!

Brownback in '08!

Must be ANOTHER slow news day. How many 'Sam for Prez' threads have been on here in the last month? Once again, THIS IS A RIGHT WING BLOG.

'Liberal' media?

HHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAAA

Do we know whether Brownback favors the Bush/McCain plan to send more troops to Iraq to accomplish whatever or is he a surrender monkey like the Baker-Hamilton group or does he suggest more prayer?

Does anyone on the far right ever acknoledge all the postive press that Brownback gets from the KC Star?

Seems to me that whnever anyone on the far right gets postive press it is because they deserve it. Whenever they don't get positive press it s because the paper is "biased" against them.

Could this be an example of self-fulfilling prophesies that are self-serving at their core?

Brownback in ramping up, is he? Personally, I hope when he gets to the top of the ramp, he slides down the other side and crashes and burns. Surely the Republicans have somebody better to run for President than Sam Brownback.

Sammie Boy is anti-stem cell research and for that his chances of being President are slim to none. Keep up the close-minded work Brownback!!!!!

I find it disturbing that every time a Conservative gets any press from the liberal media that isn't 100% negative the liberals feel threatened.
