A withering analysis of Gov. Matt Blunt's plan to sell off assets of Missouri's student loan agency went out late Wednesday afternoon from Rep. Clint Zweifel to his House colleagues.
Zweifel, a St. Louis County Democrat, wrote that using assets designated for student loans to fund a building binge on college campuses ignores the true cost of the plan and fails to answer the key questions: How will this asset sale affect future student borrowers? What is the cost in the long-run? Zweifel scoffs at the idea that any independent analysis of the plan was every performed. To read the letter, click here.
