UPDATE, Tuesday, 4:45 PM:  As several posters have pointed out, it takes several steps, including identification, to purchase "automatic" weapons.  In her interview, Claire McCaskill said purchasing "automatic assault weapons" at a gun show does not currently require ID.

   McCaskill's campaign spokeswoman says McCaskill meant to say "semi-automatic assault weapons."
