The U.S. Senate today passed Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback's bill calling for a 10-fold increase in fines for broadcasting indecent material.
Current laws caps fines at $32,500 per violation. Brownback's bill, which now goes to the House, increases the potential damage to $325,000.
The bill doesn't address the definition of indecency, which of course remains a controversy onto itself.
"It's time that...fines represent a real economic penalty and not just a slap on the wrist," the Republican said.

Have to agree Jason. He's already pretty much thrown away any chance of keeping his old job.

Does televising Sam's press conferences count as "broadcasting indecency"?
