Well, it seems that we've just dispatched 4 minesweepers, 2 Ageus attack subs, a sub tender and 2 sonar blocking frigates from Pearl via Perth to the Persian Gulf. Could they be connected with the October suprize that Rove is promising? Looks like Check, to thwart Iran's checkmate, in blocking the Straits of Hormutz after we bomb them.
If our first strike is not "total", fully expect Iran to retaliate against the oil tankers (60 plus a day) in the Straits, and even try to disrupt SA petroluem loading centers in the Gulf.

Mike

Talent's internal polls must have him trailing by a decent margin for him to be agreeing to this many debates. It's great for the voters of Missouri, but this is almost unprecedented for an incumbent to risk...

Dickeylee

The RSCC is spending $800K in negative ads against Claire next week. They must think the same thing also.

FarRight

Yeah, or he is trying to show a clear contrast with Claire...who clearly has no idea what she is talking about.

LarrytheScrabbleGuy

Yeah, FarWrong, and that contrast would be a competent, independent candidate versus a bumbling rubberstamp for the president. Go Claire!

I agree Mike And Dickeylee. Being that Claire is the better of the two in public speaking/debating, he is playing all of his cards. Which he should or he will lose. He just better be practicing because if not, she is going to make him look very bad.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying Claire is the best public speaker around. I'm just saying that unlike Claire, if Talent were winning in the polls he would NEVER agree to more than one debate; and there is a reason for that.

jenniferm

I'm not sure McCaskill is that great a debater, but she certainly has a lot more experience at it than Talent. Going against Jean Carnahan really wasn't a challenge for him.

Totally agree on the point that Talent the incumbent would not be debating if he didn't think he needed it to win. Incumbents just don't do that.

GET 'EM

It's really not much a risk for Talent. Every time Claire opens her mouth she says something stupid.

vet for votes anderson

TALENT FORGETS ABOUT VETERANS. TALENT NEGLECTS
VETERANS.
talent voted against funds for updating iraq
soliders body armour...why? he will answer this
question or we will swift boat him with the truth...
he is a loser...........

GET 'EM

Talent was just endorsed by the VFW.

John Evans

Yea a few old drunks at the VFW supoort him. So what. Veteran groups all over the country are speaking out against him. His grades on vet issues are flunking. He goosesteps with Bush. He is a pig feeding at the trough. Claire will spit him out. He is a spoiled little rich boy who is a parisite living on the backs of others.

BeProudAmerica

Hmmm. Who is giving him flunking grades on vet issues, I guess no one that matters, because the vets in Missouri are endorsing him and THAT IS WHAT MATTERS ON VET ISSUES.

You are losing credibility each time you post. Too Bad.

John Evans

There are more than one group of Veterans in this country and most are working to defeat the PARTY OF CORRUPTION.
Be Proud you have no credibility. You use denial and talking points.
Here are some Veteran groups that won't back Talent.

Be Proud
The Disabled Veterans of America gave him flunking grades. Democrats got the highest ratings. Go ahead and look for yourself. You won't like what you see.

Oh by the way, They are backing Claire.

John E -

Don't you get it, none of those other groups matter. What matters is what the vetern groups in Missouri think because Missouri voters count.

Of course you discount any vetern group that backs Talent.

Now, before the November elections, we need to use the leverage we as citizens have to put pressure on both Senator talent and his opponent, McCaskill, to do the right thing.
MoPIRG is calling on all congressional candidates to sign the NEW ENERGY FUTURE platform, which outlines four goals that will put America on track to a cleaner, safer, renewable energy future.
MoPIRG will be at the debate on Oct.18th, and we would like anyone who wants to be part of the solution to our country's energy problems to join us. If you are interested in working with, or just standing with MoPIRG please contact

See you there.

Claire McCaskill is simply one of Obama's spin meisters
who agrressively repeats the same democratic talking points
ad nauseum. I can hardly hear what she says anymore, all I
see is a shrieking shrew, every time she appears on T.V..
So far, all the conclusions by all the pundits are
totally based upon POLLS. Not a single actual vote
has been cast yet. Obama supporters gush at how
well their man has done in the debates, which proves
once again that Obama is a good debater and a good
speaker. It doesn't say anything about his character,
judgement, or what kind of a leader he would be.
I still would rather trust a man who would not sell out
his fellow prisoners, even during 5 years of torture,
than to trust a man who betrayed a 20 year friendship,
for personal ambition. And ... regarding this election,
until people actually vote ... it ain't over till it's over!
