Let them know that where ever they are going to live....Jeff Roe is there, then they won't want to go their.

Anyone find it hypocritical that Claire brags about the "low cost" in middle amercia yet she wants to change that by increasing minimum wage?

craig

As a person who is not voting for Claire and has pointed out her hypocracy in the past. No, I don't think her support of an increase in minimum wage is hypocritical.

amusing. Increasing costs? Low costs? thats an oxymoron sir.

Vote No on minimum wage increase. Keep employers from sending jobs overseas for cheaper labor and the sissy union workers from getting a raise for nothing.

Dickeylee

I don't think that there are many Union workers working for $5.15 an hour.

craig

" and the sissy union workers from getting a raise for nothing.
I hope you never need help from those "sissys" in the FOP and the IAFF.

I don't think that there are many Union workers working for $5.15 an hour.

Union wages are tied to minimum wage you raise minimum wage your raise union wage.

I hope you never need help from those "sissys" in the FOP and the IAFF.

Nope don't need help don't like my job I'll find another one not whine like a 5 yr old when you don't get your way.

WellWell

I bet if employees actually had to write the check for their union dues instead of automatically taken out of their check where they don't notice it they wouldn't be so PRO union

Truth

Unions are the unproductive economy killer.

to anon @1237 and 1158
Apparently you don't understand. The people that I mentioned; FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) and IAFF (International Association of Fire Fighters) the people that you refered to as "sissys" are the people that are paid to protect your sorry butt. And you don't understand that it makes more sense to stay where you are, and make changes from within, than to start over and not know what you are going into.

Sorry pal the unions don't protect "my sorry butt" the actual police and fireman do. Protect??? How does a government employee need protection whenever there pay comes from taxpayers? However that is a HUGE WASTE of tax dollars with nothing to show for it.

And you don't understand that it makes more sense to stay where you are, and make changes from within, than to start over and not know what you are going into.

Not from an employers perspective which is exactly what your position should be if you want job security.

craig

"Not from an employers perspective which is exactly what your position should be if you want job security."

So it is better for an employer to lose an employee who wants to make positive changes and hire someone else who has to be trained, and then lose that employee due to poor working conditions and low pay, then have to hire and train someone else......?

"Sorry pal the unions don't protect "my sorry butt" the actual police and fireman do. "
But the unions protect them, and those are the people that you called "sissys".

"Nope don't need help don't like my job I'll find another one not whine like a 5 yr old when you don't get your way."
Thats the American way, rather than stand up for your rights and protect you and your co-workers interests, just quit; wouldn't want to actually take a stand.

Exactly. Its not the responsibility of the employee to make business changes its the employers. Employee's are suposed to do what the employer needs them to do. You will be better off hiring and training someone else who is not focusing their productivity on changing the business.

But the unions protect them, and those are the people that you called "sissys".
If they "need" the union to protect them they are sissys. How can they protect me if they cannot even protect themselves?

Bingo that is how a consumer/employee driven society works!

So next time you need a cop or a fireman, make sure to ask them if they are a union member, and if they are refuse to allow them to help you.

"Exactly. Its not the responsibility of the employee to make business changes its the employers. Employee's are suposed to do what the employer needs them to do."

From now on could you end your posts with BAAAA, since you prefer to follow like a blind sheep and don't want to sign you posts.

"How does a government employee need protection whenever there pay comes from taxpayers?"
See other threads about Sheilds and you should understand.

Excellent point how is government unions protecting us from her?

From now on could you end your posts with I'm a union worker vote for minimum wage so I can be greedy and have more money for doing less.

craig

"Excellent point how is government unions protecting us from her?"
They are protecting the employees from her. The contracts with the various unions that the county does business with are public record if you would like to take the time to read them, and then you would know why they are needed.

"From now on could you end your posts with I'm a union worker vote for minimum wage so I can be greedy and have more money for doing less."

Actually, I was promoted out of the union into a management position due to my ability to make positive changes to my employer through my leadership as union president.

And you are so insightful that the teenagers that will be making minimum wage are the greedy ones.

The contracts with the various unions that the county does business with are public record if you would like to take the time to read them, and then you would know why they are needed.

A friend of mine is envolved in some of those contracts. His company bills the county for 8 hours of work when he takes 3 and goes home. His company won't find anything else for him to do with the other 5 cause the county is already paid for 8. So how is this good for taxpayers paying almost double what it actually costs?

craig

sheep boy,
Then your friend is lazy with a low level of integrity.
I am not talking about the people that contract out with the county, I am talking about the contracts that the county has with the various labor orginizations.

That scenario has nothing to do with labor unions or minimum wage, it has to do with the incompetence of Jackson County.

Hey name caller he works for the plumbers union (which is who your talking about) who has contracts with the county which is exactly my point union people are lazy who always want more money.

craig

So you are calling your friend a "lazy sissy". Wow, with friends like you, I hope he doesn't have any enemies.

And it is nice that you lump together millions of union members across the country due to your limited knowledge of labor practices.

I am sure that back in the 1800's there were closed minded people like you that thought ending slavery would ruin the economy. Thank God that we were able to overcome that and we will overcome shortsightedness by people like you now.

Sorry about the name calling, just trying to identify with you.

John Fairfield ain't no "lazy sissy"!
