The headline from a news release today from U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill:
"McCaskill Delivers Remarks Before and After the State of the Union Addrerss."
Knowing the senator, she'll be commenting during the address as well.

Hey Kraske - how again did McCaskill escape questions about her ex-husband being found in the trunk of a car full of lead?
if she likes to talk so much - how about asking her about that.

I'm unsure how the above comment relates to the Senator's take on the State of the Union message tonight.

it pertains to the Senator talking.
she wasn't forced to answer that question.
not saying she should have, but say, if Matt Blunt's wife had been found in a trunk of a car riddled with bullets, don't you think the lib press in KC and Stl would ask him?
just saying...

isn't the difference EX-husband vs current wife? hasn't he been an EX for quite some time. aren't you drinking too much kool-aid?

The senator likes the sound of her own voice??
I'm shock. Shocked!

Poindexter, you doofus...you "28 percenter"...
The man Claire McCaskill divorced in 19 freakin' 95 obviously had some demons. In spite of that, Claire maintained a civil relationship with him that revolved around their three children.
Here is what Claire said of the death of her ex-husband and father of her three children:
"Obviously, this is an incredibly difficult time for me and my children, as they grieve the loss of their father. I will be spending time with my children to help them through this terrible loss, and I know others will respect my family's privacy at this tragic time."
As someone who recently lost a loved one in a sudden, tragic and unexpected manner, I can't seem to figure out if right-wingers like you are funny or downright mean-spirited!
I wonder what kind of lies Dubya will try to peddle tonight...aside from offering the nation the Democrats' plans for energy reform, health care and the environment. I bet he speaks very little of Iraq or that he will even utter the name "Osama bin Laden"
I'm going to run a counter on mentions of "September the 11th" and am willing to take bets he makes at least one reference to "the ideological struggle of the 21st century."
Thank God this is next last State of the Union!

Ye...all politicians and bloggers love the sound of their own voice. Politicians get the microphones and cameras. Bloggers get anonymity and a keyboard.

In other news, Jim Talent will be yelling at his TV during the State of the Union Address.

I bet he also uses "bipartisanship" a few times in the context of "we have always wanted it, why doesn't the Dems?"

But jenniferm...if he reaches out to the Democrats, isn't he reaching out to the 'terrists" as he calls them. I don't know...sometimes I actually can't tell if he's trying to say "terrorists" or "tourists" which I find rather entertaining at times.
Amazing how his tune changes without all that so-called 'political capital' he had after his 2004 'mandate' isn't it?
I may actually enjoy this evening's speech this time around!
